Youth Leadership - Erasmus+
In 2015 I led a seven-day residential programme in Hungary in collaboration with Budapest based Pandora Association. Youthwork leaders attended from Germany, Romania, Czech Republic, Italy, Liechtenstein, Hungary and Spain. The focus of the programme was to explore youth leadership in the context of sustainable development.
Investigating Cultural Sustainability - EU COST IS1007
In May 2014, I presented a keynote and contributed to workshop sessions at the International Symposium on Cultures of Sustainability in the Age of Climate Crisis. This events was part of EU COST IS 1007 ‘Investigating Cultural Sustainability’. It was hosted by the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Telemark University College, Bø, Norway.
The Northern Peripheries Project (NPP)
In 2005 I presented a keynote session on ‘Ecopsychology and Sustainable Nature-based Tourism’ as part for the Northern Peripheries Project, Nature-based Tourism Working Group Conference at Ballachulish in Scotland. The event was fined by the NPP and hosted by Scottish Natural Heritage and the National Trust for Scotland.
Human Health Benefits of Forests Conference - EU COST Action E39
In 2004 I gave a keynote presentation on the ‘healing power of wild places’ at the Human Health Benefits of Forests Conference at University of Edinburgh.
In addition, I took part in various cultural exchange activities after the keynote including a ministerial reception at Bute House, the official residence of Scotland’s First Minister.
The event was hosted in collaboration between Edinburgh University, NHS-Education and Forestry Commission Scotland.
